QHS Football Booster Club Meeting QHS Library Thursday October 6th, 2011 at 7 p.m. Attendance: Pam & Mike Francis, Tony Grawe, Dana Stafford, Karen Bilgri, John & fey Roberts, Steve Sharp, Mike & Tracy Rose, Conny Bakker, Julie Bates, Larry & Teri White, Todd Moore, Aaron Clark, Darin Prost, Lisa Smith, Laura Kelle, Ann Atler, Karen Zanger, Tracy Schutte, Coach Little, Tracy Rose called the meeting to order at 702. Secretary’s Report- the minutes were approved by Mike Francis, 2nd by George Crickard. Alumni Report- Flag pole is now up. No other report Treasurers Report-Sept balance is 28,338.58. Bills are outstanding. N Motion to approve by D. Prost, 2nd by A. Clark. Old Business- Homecoming parade was awesome. Players were very enthusiastic. Knapheide Picnic went well. Thanks to Mike & Pam Francis for organizing and thanks to the boys that worked. They did an excellent job! Senior night is tomorrow. Flowers are ready and list completed. Players and parents are to be dressed and ready by 630. Current planning is underway for the end of the year Football Banquet. Various venues were discussed including Tony’s Too, The Ambience and the Kroc Center. D. Prost will check cost at Ambience. Date to be confirmed. Coaches Report-Hopefully the season will be extended into playoffs and then a celebration will be planned for the Sat. after the Jerseyville game. Picture This has great photos on their web page. A link from the Football website will be added. Youth League is going very well. Applebee’s Fundraiser is set for Nov. 12th from 8-10 am. Players and parents will be needed to serve, greet and bus tables. Tickets are being sold for $5 a piece. Contact Julie Bates or Tracy Rose for information. Basketball Dinner- we need volunteers to organize and secure helpers. Jr. High Banquet will be October 13th. The Booster Club will provide pizzas. 7th and 8th grade will bring soda, chips or dessert. Tracy Schutte will organize. Motion to approve expenses incurred for the QJHS Football Banquet including shirts for the 8th grade players by A. Clark. 2nd by G. Crickard Open Discussion- Conny Bakker complimented concession volunteers. More organization is needed for the running of the clock and the scoreboard. Athletic director will be approached to organize and pay for expense. Will discuss again in July for next season. Motion To adjourn at 8:12 by Steve Sharp. 2nd by George Crickard.
